Summer thus far

It's a beautiful day and I'm sad that I can't enjoy it. Instead I'm stuck inside the library working on this legal case analysis that's due tomorrow. I hate being confused with all of this legal terminology. No use in complaining though, since I've come to realize that complaining won't get the work done.

I was procrastinating this morning after my workout by painting my nails. I need to get back into painting before my talents/skills disappear, if they haven't already.

Excited to see Diane later this week. I've been going through some serious best friends-withdrawal, especially after I skype video chatted with Tracy & Diane last Sunday.

Last thought for this entry, I'm happy that I get to see the boyfriend tonight too and hopefully I win our bet on the Bulls vs. Heat game, which would be a win-win-win situation for me because 1.) The Bulls would win, 2.) I get a free dinner of my choice, and 3.) I beat Jeremy in something.

Feelings

Happy and Content.

Two feelings I never thought I would ever be able to experience together.

I still have a lot of work to do, but I felt like sharing a short entry with the five or so people that read this. Most aspects of my life are going well right now, and I think that is what has lead to the contentment. I have been stressed out with schoolwork, but have been working hard to do well. I had my supervisor session with my advisor yesterday, and received a lot of positive feedback, as well as suggestions about what I can work on. Overall, it was a great meeting and it feels really great to know that your hard work is paying off and that someone so skilled and experienced in the field (he's been counseling for over 27 years), is able to notice your hard work and sees a large amount of potential in you. I've also been doing well with my workout plan and eating healthier (minus the few slip-ups I've had the past couple of weeks, but I've left the mindset of having to starve or restrict myself completely, and have realized that one day or one meal of "bad eating" will not make me gain twenty pounds. As Jeremy always tells me, "It's all about the big picture, not just the right now") The weather is starting to reflect my good mood and for once I am proud of myself.
