tried

I've tried and failed at writing 4 entries.

I wanted to write one entitled, "24", with the obvious content about my 24th birthday and how fun and wonderful it was.

I wanted to write one entitled, "Love", with the content about my valentine's day with Jeremy and how I keep falling more and more in love with him.

I wanted to write one entitled, "Olympics", with the content about how awesome these athletes are and how I wish I was good at one of these sports, or any sport for that matter.
I wanted to write one entitled, "You can't always get what you want", with the content about how you should be thankful for what is given to you, even if it's not what you wanted.

But instead I'm writing this. Writing about entries. I can't seem to get my ideas out in a coherent way. Maybe I have too many things on my mind...It's fine though, not many people actually read this anyway.

Last rambling thought I would like to share, at the risk of "counting my chickens before they're hatched", I received an email from TCNJ inviting me for a group interview. It's the next step towards admission there for the EdM Counselor Education with concentration in School Counseling that I applied for. My interview is scheduled for March 1. I am both excited and frightened at the same time. Anything that has the potential to impact my future scares me these days...but hopefully I do well in that interview.

Apps

Today is the first deadline for my graduate applications. Four schools to be exact. March 15, August 1 and "rolling" are the next deadlines to come, however I somehow managed to complete all seven applications and send them in already. With the signing, sealing and delivering of these applications, I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. Reading over the peer-edited personal statements make me feel proud of what I have done and ( dare I say it) successful. I laughed thinking that I could be so conceited due to having thoughts like, "I.Am.Awesome", and even suggested to Jeremy that I should just read my statement anytime I feel like I have done nothing with my life. Luckily, lately I haven't experienced any of those low moments. I've been able to keep my n.y's resolution of taking some time every week to do something I love, which has offered a lot of self-reflection and allotted for self-appreciation. I'm not perfect, and I doubt that anyone will ever be, but I'm not terrible either. It's taken a lot of time for me to realize that.

I'm hoping my applications impress the individuals making the admit/reject decisions, but I've done my part to the best of my abilities and now all that's left to do is wait...
