Productivity = Happiness, At least for today...

Today has been a really great day and I feel like I'm starting to change my outlook on life and become a better person.

The day started off alright, though I somehow missed my alarm going off and almost left too late to bring Jeremy to his Dr's appointment. I somehow managed to get ready and ran out the door in 15 minutes - very impressive. The Dr's appointment provided us with good news - that his ankle is well on it's way to recovery and the past month of physical therapy appointments have paid off. So while Jeremy is at work, I decided to stick around NB and do something productive with my newfound "free time". I applied to seven more jobs, did two sinkfuls of dishes, got caught up with last week's Colbert & Daily Show eps, watched an old episode of the office, attempted to go for a run - realized the weather was way too hot and opted for a walk around the neighborhood instead, baked a loaf of bread from scratch - still have to try some so I'll update about that later, took a nice long shower, looked up/requested more info for grad programs and still have time to heat up some delicious leftovers for Jeremy and I so we can eat once he gets back from work! I think working at HUGE has really given me more enthusiasm and energy to make the most of my day. There's nothing good about sitting around doing nothing and now is the best time if ever, to do as much self-improvement as I can. I'm determined to not sit around and mope about how I'm back to unemployment, but instead be thankful for the past three weeks of work, be grateful that I still have my second paycheck to look forward to, and work hard towards making something out of myself for my future.

I may not work at HUGE anymore, and I may not have worked there very long, but I feel like the whole experience has definitely made me a different person - in some ways - and it's a good thing.

Here's to a more positive outlook on the future and to some re-gained self-confidence and the mindset that I CAN and WILL actually accomplish something.

Just keep swimming...

I just have to keep reminding myself that I'll be fine. I just have to be strong and determined to get to my end goal. I have to keep in mind that "every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end".
