The reception was wonderful as well. Very fancy shmancy place - Carriage House! The cocktail hour was fun and filled with delicious foods, including a roast pig which is a traditional part of any grand Filipino party. The ballroom was huge and the atmosphere was elegant, yet fun - low lighting, centerpieces were large vases with water dyed light purple and topped with white lilies and purple flowers, DJ booth was on a loft-like area above the couples' table, and dance floor was huge with the couples' names being projected onto it. Overall, a great night of fun, food and dancing.
I feel like I have a love/hate relationship with weddings. I love them because I always have a great time and I love seeing how happy the couple is, and how happy the parents are, and hearing speeches about the couple and seeing slideshows of baby pictures - present. I hate weddings because the past few ones I've been to have not worked out with Jeremy's schedule so I've had to go solo/ no one to dance with for slow dance, and they bring out a jealous side of me that I hate having. A bunch of our family friends were joking around with me last night telling me that I was next, but I wasn't the one that caught the bouquet. So, I will just have to be patient and hope that one day, I'll be at that point where I'm ready to fully commit myself to one person and likewise, that person will want nothing more than to be with me forever...I just hope that point is sooner than later.
UPDATE: What does it mean if my boyfriend sends me this link:
with the only introduction to the link being "funny"
Let's go dancing (if there is such thing in Pton)!! Though sometimes after you try to dance with a guy you realize they just ruin it. I love how evocative this post is. Miss you.
